Would the pool community use crypto for betting on pool matches?

The coin of choice among poker players was Bitcoin, not sure about now. When you're dealing with big numbers and gambling, the players are will8ng to gamble on the price of BC when collected
I don't know anything about those circles. BTC on the right network has minimal gas, so might be a good option. But I think the majority of people like seeing US dollar backed coins, and may not understand how to transfer out of a fluctuating coin.

Biggest issue with crypto as currency is that it's unreliable and fluctuating. Value changes daily, so the cost of goods ends up changing day to day if using it. If 1.0 of a digital currency is worth $100 today, drops to 90 tomorrow, then 80, then goes back to 95, you have no idea what you are spending or getting at any given moment. Look at the poor guy who bought a $400,000,000 pizza back when bitcoin was new.

you can trade it almost instantly now so the fluctuations are not a big deal. you don't have to hold it.
