Would tournaments allow mechanical hand bridges?

Hey everyone. Wanted to get some feedback here::

I'm currently in the process of designing a mechanical hand bridge - a plastic tool that rests in/on your bridge hand to help develop stroke and/or assist those who either don't have a straight stroke or have a natural disability.

I won't go into great detail about the product for patent purposes, but I wanted to get a feel for what the pool community thinks. A mechanical bridge is allowed everywhere by everyone for reaching long shots. Should one be allowed for every shot? I'm not talking about a complex piece of equipment; more like a short tube that the cue glides through.

Before you voice your opinion, consider the tools that are currently available for pool - the mechanical bridge, the cue extender, and the glove - all of which are accepted into the normal realm of accessories to the sport.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with anyone using those things against

me. The way I look at it is the persons stroke isn't straight enough without

it. So the chances are the guy is still going to have problems playing shape.

So let him use what he needs to use to get better at the game.

I think it would be harder to play with than without. I'd like to have one for practice, though. :thumbup:

FWIW, I've played opponents in both APA and BCA nationals that used one on every shot due to physical disability.
