In this layout would you just draw back - a little low right - for the 5B in the lower right corner?

I struggle with this shot. I usually hit it too hard and end up with a bad angle on the 5B.

Actually it's a pretty standard shot for most. Lotta times the ball control is just a means to cinch it.

In the past you have said that you have trouble with long draw shots. That could be due to a flaw in your fundamentals. In the absence of checking those, create your own progressive practice for the shot.

The shot you diagrammed is the only sensible choice. Easiest and best outcome.

One more thing, due to the close proximity to the cushion, the shot is very sensitive to the degree of lateral spin. Horizontal draw as Island Drive puts it.

Why?

Low right is the shot for 9ball... it puts you into the path of the next ball.

A little off topic. I noticed that website your using. I was just curious if there is a feature to just randomly drop 9 balls on the table all at once, to practice pattern play?
