Would You Like Your Event Streamed FREE?

I am offering this to anyone out there looking to have their event live streamed. I know in this economy it is tough to get money to promote your event and especially to have it streamed. I am willing to do it as long as my expenses are covered, not looking to make anything.

I know it sounds too good to be true but for those who know me also know I am dedicated to the game and the promotion of it. If I am able to get the time and given proper notice I am all for doing this. You can PM me if your interested and any questions you can post here if need be. Check out www.ontherailtv.com to get an idea of what I do.

Lenny - You've got the right idea, for sure! Folks won't pay to see pool, if they have a negative image of it, or don't know how to play, but there is that chance they will watch, if it's free. Pay Per View is great if you have a big-name match set up or maybe on the last day of a big event, but if you want to draw the interest of those not already involved, you have to bring it to them on terms they are willing to accept -- FREE. I've already heard from some who never realized it was such a great sport and thought they'd never be interested. We've also got friends who never thought the live streams would be worth watching, but after seeing just one of your live streams, they were hooked. Now, they watch on a regular basis and we're waiting to see them brave up enough to get their own user name and start chatting at your streams, too.

Also, thanks for bringing the game of one pocket into our homes. I would have never watched it, if it wasn't for your streams. Now, I believe it's my favorite game to watch and will probably be my favorite game to play, one day... when I get better at it. It is much more challenging, as far as cue control, cue ball control and serious thinking skills.

We look forward to watching more of your free streams in the future.

Kudos to you for all you do for the pool community.

Lenny,

Good to see you branching out! I agree with Renee, we need to bring as much FREE viewing as we can to the sport. Many of the venues still don't see the value in it but advertising has made a lot of it possible for my show.

Best wishes branching out! I'll be watching for sure. ;)

I do not have a problem with PPV or advertising. We need more sponsors behind this, the streamers are reaching a new audience and a big audience too, much more then the billiard papers and magazines are able to do. I am guessing the reason why PPV has not taken off and advertisers are not jumping on board is the economy but hopefully that will recover and we will have our answer.

I do want to acquire a list of all streamers who do it on a regular basis and put it on my site, so Bob if your listening lets get a list together and maybe all streamers can refer this list to the audience when they stream from time to time so we can support one another and bring together the audience as opposed to dividing them. I know some prefer TAR, OTR, Big Truck or Big Dogs stream but some of our audience does not know about the other people streaming, there is strength in numbers.

Actually, I've been maintaining a list in my ustream profile for a long time. One need only click this: http://www.ustream.tv/user/cmbwsu/followeds. You merely need to click the blue "follow" and change it to "not following" to subscribe to any you desire to follow.

If you know of an avid viewer of pool streams, simply replace my username with theirs and do the same.

By doing so, when any of the folks you have on follow are streaming they will pop up on your dashboard. There are thousands of archived vids to be seen should nothing be streaming and you are in need of a fix!
