It depends on the skill level of both players.
I assume with a spot like the 7 or 2 on the wire there is a fairly obvious
difference in skill but it's not like a C player vs. a shortstop.

In general, the better you both play the more meaning games on the
wire have and the worse you play the more meaning ball spots have.

7 ball...... If they feel they can give you the 7 then you are gonna need the money balls rather then the games.

In that scenario however I would like to have the 2 games on the wire.

If I'm getting the spot I'll take 2 on the wire if table is standard pockets or buckets, I'll take the 7 if the table is wired tight.

If I'm giving the spot you can have either with normal pockets. If the tables wired tight I'm only offering games on the wire, nobody gets a ball spot on a wired table
