Would You Rather Play On A 5 Or 3 Man Team BCA Rules 8 Ball Tournament?

Voted for 3 with same benefits in mind what you can read from previous posts.

(eventhough i like the idea of 5 man teams; it gives a good idea about the level where teams are since most will not get all their big guns to be there so the overall level of teams will affect more.)

I would prefer 5 man because the other players can carry the weakest player on the team, but a weak player on a 3 man team means you are done, that you will not go far at all.

A 3 man team means each player has to 'hold up' their end more because each win is more important to a 3 man match than a 5 man match. Everyone has off days no matter who, and it is easier to 'recover' the match with 5 people than 3. It also would depend on the skill levels involved, and what type of stage you were playing on. Someone could win 88% of their local matches, but only 20% of their matches at Nationals.

The weak player on the 3 man team has to be a darkhorse, or in otherwords, a person that is really underrated in skill level, and can beat better players. These type of players are usually better thinkers than players, and usually bring their playing up a notch, plus they make few logic mistakes (especially if the better players can coach during timeouts).
