You implying it's easier for chicks to get games?? That's what I got out of it.

I agree, but I'm a chick and can't get good games. There are some cheapscates here, so they want races to 3 for 10, ect. I want races to 7 or 9 for at least 100!! No one will give up the right weight, and those who I play even won't play for enough! Guys are scared of girls who can play!

Yeah, Neil and I are friends. He's a good guy, and I wouldn't gamble with him. If I ever did, I would be crazy...but I would need something outrageous like the 5 and the last 6...or something crazy like that!

Not the path I want to pursue and the path I am forced to pursue are two different things.

Rob is entering tournaments and killing his action every time he does well. Your buddy probably knew he was in a tough game. Or was Robb pretending to be Jimmy APA Player and your friend thought he had an easy mark. When two players are gambling they both think they have the best of it or one of them is an outright idiot and deserves to lose. I have played games where I knew I was outclassed and I did it for the thrill and the challenge. I have also played games where I thought I was stealing only to find out I needed the 8. I can't be mad about that - I thought he needed the 8.

I am sure that Robb would have rather been making a very comfortable living playing professional pool and able to sepnd the time out having a good time instead of playing your friend for money. I am sure that your friend wishes he were good enough to play on the pro tour. And yeah, I'll play your friend some - just come to Charlotte and ask for John Barton. (sigh)

No, it just provides more real estate for advertising and is more appealing to look at!
