Tonight was one of those nights where I just could not get it going. I don't think I have played this bad in a long while. I couldn't stop my cue from sliding left on delivery. I played 9 ball for about 15 games, and I do not think I ran more than 4 or 5 balls at once all night. I played my brother in law who I would usually win 95% of the games against, and he won 6 games tonight. Of course 2 were on combos early in the game and one when I left the 9 hanging (he also made 7 shots in pockets he was not shooting at). None the less, I still played poorly enough to lose that many games. Hopefully my stroke will be back tomorrow.

just cant believe someone posted on here that they play bad, or couldnt get it in stroke. they ought to be raked over the coals, and then banned from this forum.

why dont people be more positive??? nobody wants to hear someone whine about losing or getting bad rolls..........

Don't worry dude, you'll play better tomorrow.

I am sure I was doing something wrong mechanically to be as consistently bad as I was tonight. Most of the time it goes away by the next time I play, but I am sure that if my overall mechanics were better, my play would be more consistent.

Stroking Versus Aiming

STROKING A CUE IS NOT AIMING A CUE BALL AT AN OBJECT BALL.

AIMING A CUE BALL AT AN OBJECT BALL IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

I agree! Your aiming is usually the first culprit, followed by your stroke.

Are you saying that his alignment was off and therefore his aim was off?

if you cant deliver the cue ball to where you are aiming, then all the aiming in the world wont help. its all about the consistent repeatable stroke that lets you put the cue ball where youre aiming.

That was a long time ago, and my stroke did return the next day. I do not thin k aiming had anythin gto do with it. I believe it was stroke delivery that night. I do not think my cue hitting left of my aiming point has anything to do with aim.

Just like no one wants to listen to your posts that go on and on and on and on and on and on about what your doing wrong.
