While I was at the DCC I stopped by and talked to Dave at http://quick-clean.com/. Dave is the owner/inventor of the product. While I was standing there I dripped some chocolate on my shirt at which time my Wife then tells Dave that I have stains on all my shirts becauser I am soooo messy. Dave then tells me I can use Quick-Clean on my shirt to remove the stain. I thought he was joking but as it turns out it worked pretty good.

Today, we were moving the last child (Lisa age 19 and Grandaughter Cali age 2) out of the house and into their own apartment (Yippie). Anyway, we gave Lisa the couch and loveseat from our living room. She didn't have room for the reclining chair so we kept it. The chair is a light brown suede or some type material its real fine almost like microfiber. The chair had ring stains all over it from the little one constantly spilling things on it. We were debating throwing it away because it looked pretty nasty with all those stains on it. That's when it hit me to try the Quick-Clean on it. (I wish I had taken before and after pictures.) I sprayed it down with the Quick-Clean and wiped it off after letting it sit for about a minute with a dry cloth. Whallah ! When it dried it looked amazing. All of the stains were gone and the chair looked like new again. I told my Wife we needed to go get the furniture back and clean it with the Quick-Clean and keep it for ourselves. That didn't work too well so tomorrow I will be shopping for new furniture. Wish me luck.

Just as a note: Quick-Clean works really good on pool tables too......

Edited for the sake of PJ's and my piece of mind.

Quick-Clean Pool Table Cleaner
www.quick-clean.com/?source=vikingtour
Is a proud and valuable sponsor of the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour and many other Pool Tournaments.

Also the story above is true and really happened on January 9th and March 10th, 2008, respectively. (Personally I thought it was a funny story.) I haven't gone furniture shopping yet (Wife had to work 14 hours today) but when I do I am taking a can of Quick-Clean with me to spot test on the new furniture before I buy it to make sure it works on the new fabric of the new furniture. If it don't, I will not buy the furniture!

Peace,

Mj

WOW, I never thought to try the quick clean on anything other than table cloth but it does make sense. Cloth is cloth after all. Probably gonna try it out next time i go shoot pool my stupid rottweiler is always jumping on me as i leave and putting paw prints on my jeans.

It works great on you cue wraps too ! I have used it to clean the cloth grills on speakers with great results as well.

Hi Mike I use it on my carpet also to get the pet stains out. As most of you know i do travel with David and he has never clamed it to do anything but clean tables so i dont talk much about it either but it will work on quite a few things. I had another friend of mine clean his drapes with it and loves it also. Thanks Dave for such a fine product, Doug

I also like the new scent he added to the Quick-Clean. It made my whole house smell good. I think this updated Quick-Clean will go very well in pool halls that still have smoking.

I heard Monica Lewinsky used the other
pool table cleaner on her dress.
She should have used Quick Clean,
it's the best.

Thats expensive carpet cleaner, but you did give me an idea, to try the carpet cleaner on the cloth! I have some of that stuff that foams up when you spray it, I'll give it a try a see what happens....

SPINDOKTOR, Good luck with that. I have heard a few horror stories about "similiar products" such as carpet cleaner and other foamers when used on pool table cloth. Please make sure you spot test it first.

From: http://quick-clean.com/TheFacts/tabid/60/Default.aspx

Quick-Clean is a dry style cleaner and leaves the table dry so there is no stretching or fading.

Why Is Quick-Clean Better?
Quick-Clean lifts the chalk out of the felt and suspends it above the cloth so you can wipe it off and not into the felt. The evaporant in the cleaner is what makes it dry immediately and not leave the felt wet. There is also a dry cleaning agent in it that cleans the felt. A damp cloth is wet and has no cleaning agents. It is like washing you hands with water compared to washing your hands with soap and water.

Not so good luck with Quick-Clean.

I used Quick-Clean on Velocity Pro cloth in my store and it discolored the cloth. I replaced the bed cloth, called Dave to tell him about it and he said send him the cloth. I sent the stained one to Dave and after leaving a couple of messages for him, never heard anything. Always spot test it. I know it works good on Simonis, but that's all I would trust it with for now.

He added scent back in? When it first came out that was one of my complaints about it. When he removed the scent, I started using it on a regular basis. I was just about to order another case, but if he has added scent back I'll have to reconsider. Maybe I'll just go back to vacumn, brush, and a damp cloth. A bit more work, but no scent.

<edit> BTW Mike, this thread makes me wonder if Dave is a new sponsor for your tour?

I used QuickClean in my pool hall and it does a fantastic job! Dave puts out a quality product !

As for the many uses, I have only used it on the pool tables - but I will say this about the Aramith Billiard Ball Cleaner - it will shine up stuff with a gloss finish better than anything I have ever used before. I found that out when I spilled some on a counter top in my house in El Paso. I cleaned up the small spill and that area shined up like I had used armor all or something. I ended up having to use it on the rest of the counter top. I got some of the ball cleaner on my ring one time - when I wiped it clean, it shined up the gold... lol

I've been told not to, but I've used the ball cleaner on my cue also - so far so good and it shines better today than it did 20 years ago.

lol

Wow! Quick-Clean is a sponsor of your Viking Tour, isn't that right?

When you post "testimonials" for a product it's customary to mention that you have a business relationship with the manufacturer. It's called "truth in advertising".

I wasn't advertising I was sharing a story of what happend in my house with a billiard related product. I was actually pretty funny when I told my Wife to go get our furniture back. I guess you had to be here or at least have a sense of humor Pat.

AND YES, Quick-Clean has been a sponsor of the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour since 2002. They are listed on all of our "ADVERTISEMENTS" as a sponsor.

Mike,

Thanks for tip. I just got spots out the carpet with Quick-Clean that a professional cleaner couldn't get. Funny thing is, I don't really care for it on my Simonis.

David,
How often did you use this in your room ?
I tried it and it does work great but it seemed to cost to much for us to use very often, and I only have 8 tables, jmop.

And thanks for helping to get Danny Harriman to my 14-1 tourney last year.

Mickey -

I would recommend using it on Monday mornings on the tables that got the most use, and that's it. Yes it is kind of expensive, but well worth it, IMO.

It sounds like Danny had a great time at your event last year (didn't he win it?)- Let us know about the Sinkler this year - I would love to get up there for that one of these years to knock some balls in.

Is there a trick for using it?

I tried it on my Simonis and it stained it super bad!

In my experience, its best to use it after the table has been played on quite a bit. If you're getting stains, then perhaps you have the can too close to the playing surface while you are spraying.
