Hi Mike, nope dont think its on the list.

Will share more when I know more, really think the WPA should step up and sort a top level tour out for the elite players to play on.

Good to see the UPA coming back to life, between them, the Euro and Guiness tour I don't see why they can't create a small tour for the top players in each at the end of the year.

Personally I'd like to see eahc tour withhold a small % from every entry at every event to fund a masters tour.

At the end of each year the top 16 or 32 are invited to play on it. Even if they start with 3 events (one funded by each tour) and move onto 6 it would be a start.

Well look at that! ;)

Raya Sports Announces Asia-Pacific Pool Tour

Raya Sports of the Philippines has announced the 2008 Asia-Pacific Pool Tour. This WPA-sanctioned series will be exclusively played as 10-Ball events and will begin with the Philippine 10-Ball Open to be held at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila January 21-27, 2008. The season will lead up to the WPA World 10-Ball Championship in October of 2008, also in Manila. Of course, performance in the APT legs will be one way of qualifying for the World Championship.

While the tour stop locations are still under review there are events that are certain to be held in the following locations. The Indonesian 10-Ball Open will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Taiwan 10-Ball Open is to be contested in Taipei and the Vietnam 10-Ball Open will be hosted in Ho Chi Minh City.

Other locations currently being studied include Melbourne, Australia, and Guandong, China. Two locations are also being explored in the United States, both in California. Carson City and San Francisco are those possibilities. All of these details will soon be ironed out and published quickly in order to keep all players and fans informed.

All tour stops on the Asian-Pacific Tour will be Open events that will welcome players from every part of the globe. The entry fee for each leg is $300 (US) and the tour will work with local hotels and strive to get the players and fans attractive rates at hotels near the venues.

Each event on the tour will pay cash awards to any player who finishes 32nd or better with the top prize offering a minimum of $20,000 (US). The organizers are working with sponsors to provide the greatest total prize purse possible.

I'm guessing there will be a Euro one soon also, looks like the WPA, Asia and Europe are pushing pool forward again, congrats!
