WPBA Amateur Nationals

Two thumbs up to Tina, too! That was a tough field.

I only have one Q - how does Hsin Huang get ranked 15th in the WPBA and not be a Touring Pro so she's able to play in the Am Nats? What did I miss?

Hsin Hunag didn't play. Still, this CAN happen. In 1999, Karen Corr reached the top ten in the WPBA rankings before becoming a touring pro.

I see Mona Remedios' name and Hsin on the website... LOL! Those two travel together and I just get them mixed up. My bad.

Yeah sjm, there was also a bunch of hard feelings when Jennifer Chen showed up at the 1996 BCA Amateur 9-Ball Championships in Atlantic City when she was really up there in rank with the WPBA. It was the BCA that said she could attain a certain rank before a certain time. Cindy Doty didn't complain and was runner-up.

Hey! on a second note and not to steal this thread - Gerda's THE defending Champion for the NY State 9-Ball event on October 1st and 2nd. Can Gerda come out and play?

It's being held in Michelle's Billiard Cafe in Balwinsville, NY, just outside Syracuse.

It's an hour upstate of Binghamton, and for $2000 added plus 2 Qualifiers, I'm hoping to draw a lot of Canadiens - Grace, Maureen, Anita, et al. So far I know that Karen, Julie, Tiffany, and Kim can't make it due to previous obligations.

I do have a tournament announcement in the respective forum only I screwed up on the phone number of my host hotel, the Comfort Inn at the Fairgrounds. It's 315-453-0045. Let me know if I can do anything for your friends wanting to attend. And you, for that matter. :cool:

Gosh, I guess it is up to Gerda and Dawn to serve as your Pro pull. Hope you do another MD one next year. I PROMISE I will contribute my cash to go two and out. Good luck with the NY one.

Well Bill and Billies have first right to the event for next year. And I hope they do reschedule with me, it was the best room to hold such an event!
