I dunno if there's another post on it, but I noticed that Rachel Abbink (L. Nevel's girl) took it.

Looks like she lost the hotseat to Bonnie Plowman, then went to the B side and beat Julia Gabriel for the second time and beats Plowman in the finals. Sounds like a gritty win. You go girl.

Anyone there or have more info?

I think Rachel and Larry have been apart more than a year unless it is round 2 which i wasn't aware of.

Eric,

There was an article on the WPBA website, but I'll be damned if I can find it!

Barbara

Sadly very poor coverage of this event, AZ nor InsidePool did not report on it at all. Not sure why?
Can only guess the WPBA did not submit any reports to them...=(

My guess is that the WPBA isn't allowing anyone else to make reports on their events?

Brian

That is not the case, I am sure, why would they not want to promote themselves to the pool media?
I am sure there will be coverage in BD...Maybe Mike can chime in and let us know why there was no AZ report on the event?

I've noticed that too. Anything WPBA related seems to get no coverage on AZB. I dunno if this is because of "business", political or other. It's not likely an oversight.

Eric,

I don't believe it has anything to do with politics or business. I think it's just because the WPBA doesn't submit an article to AZB on their events.

Any why would that be? It could be done with almost no effort. Im assuming they are mailing their article to someone-just add azb to the list.

I have also noticed that WPBA tournaments are not getting good coverage by InsidePool magazine. Coverage of the WPBA Midwest Classic, in the September issue, was limited to a very small article, hidden in the back of the magazine along with coverage of regional events. They received much better coverage from Billiards Digest.
It seems to me, the WPBA should be doing something to get better coverage, from all of the magazines, unless there is some reason for some magazines cutting them short.
