Melissa Herndon defeated Jennifer Barretta. I must add that this is the first match that I ever watched Melissa play. She has said before that she is very animated, and she did not lie. Everyone will enjoy seeing her play on ESPN in Jan. (form the Open.)

Big Upset of the tournament today.
Jeanette Lee Beat Hsin Huang 9-5
Tough loss for Hsin. She will be playing on the B-side.
Jennifer Chen Beat Seaver 9-8
Jennifer was down 4-1, Seaver reached the hill first at 8-6, Jennifer came back 8-8. Seaver scratched on the 2 ball after the break and Jennifer ran out to win the match.
Vivian was playing Sarah Ellerby when I left and the score was 4-1 for Sarah.

Jennifer Baretta beat Helena last night while Dawn Hopkins was playing the last match of the night on the next table. It was a tough loss for Helena. Congrat to Jennifer Baretta, she will make her first TV appearance today.
Ms. Seaver has also made the TV round. I believe this is also her first TV appearance but I am not 100% sure.
Kelly Fisher also lost a tough match against Karen Corr hill hill. Karen made a very touch shot on the 8 ball to get to the 9 ball to win the match.
This tournament has a new format in which the final 16 players on the A-side play single knock out with the players from the B-side bracket after a draw. Some of the players who had never lost a match got knocked out of the tournament in this stage. The pressure was very intense last night.
Jennifer Chen actually played the same player, Ms. Seaver twice--Jennifer beat Ms. Seaver on the A-side, and then played her again right in her next match.
Jennifer Chen will go to Europe for the world championship right after this tournament. After the world championship, she will go back to Taiwan and start filming a TV series in China on National TV. She will play the role of a blind girl from a poor Chinese village in this love story.
Jack Justis and his wife, and Alan McGarty came on the first day of the tournament. Alan flew in after attending the tournament at the Hilton. I am sure more familiar faces will show up in the TV rounds today and tomorrow.
Steve is back on running the tour from day 1 and he is doing a great job as usual.

Melissa Herndon beat JennBarretta and Monica Webb and will play Julie Kelly on ESPN. I will go out on a limb and predict Melissa will win that match.

Oh yeah, just so everyone knows, because Karen Corr has been eliminated from the tourney, no matter if Allison wins or loses she will finish the year at #1.

Under the highlights page at WPBA that look on Melissa's face is worth a thousand words. It wiil be great to see all the new faces on ESPN since I've seen few of them play. LS why didn't I win a trip to the tournament insead of that deserted island!! LOL
