WPBA Masters Tournament $70,000 purse! (Feb. 27-March 3, 2019)

No one believed me all those years ago when I said I just saw a woman play who was gonna light 'em up one day. Even then (maybe six or seven years ago) I saw raw talent like I had never seen before in any female player (Balukas included). I knew she just needed some seasoning and experience. Well, she's got that now, so anything is possible as far as I'm concerned. There is no player, man or woman, that has to like it playing her in a single match. That includes all the stars of the game. They better be ready when they get on the table with her, that's all I have to say.
This young lady can flat out play. :bow-down::clapping:

She's very respectful, polite and very humble person but on the table a fierce competitor that really knows how to win.

She's a very special player and i think by time she finishes her pool career you will hear her name mentioned as one of the all time greats of the game.

She's headed back home to Beijing, China now, and will be returning to the USA next month for US Open 9 Ball Championships in Las Vegas.

My wife and I watched the stream all weekend.
We watched every match that was on Sunday.
We loved it.

Any chance we get some stats from the match?

Chen really crush the 9b break.

Sorry, I was watching the Shaw/Woodward match at the same time as the Chen/Fisher finals, and was more focused on the former. And then the WPBA stream went down for a while. But from the limited notes I have, I think Chen broke and ran in Games 1, 5, 11, and 13 and possibly more. She broke just 7 times, so she was certainly over 50% on B&R's.

I read that they ran the match a second time, but I didn't know it until later. If they run it again, maybe I'll be able to get more complete (and more accurate) stats.

edit: I can confirm that her B&R’s numbered 4 — Games 1, 5, 11, and 13. Chen won on 5 of her 7 breaks; Fisher lost on all 6 of her breaks.

At first I thought Tzu Chien had a chance of upsetting Siming....
...after all, their match went to hill/hill.....
...but after playing Kelly Fisher in the B-side finals....there was no Wei

I think if Roy can set up a Chen vs John Schmidt match, it could be match of the year.

I think match of the year would be Chen vs. “anyone at same FargoRate or higher”

Nah-There are many ladies closer to her speed than there were close to Jean when she was playing.

It is 9 Ball- a few bad rolls vs one of those other killers and it can end badly. I'll take the field over her in the WPC, Amway or China Open cheap if anyone is interested.

Give me 7 to 1 and I'll bet.

Han Yu won 3 of the last 6 women WPA 9b titles.

Sha Sha 2 of the last 6. Chen 1(2017).

So she can be beat playing race to 9 on those soft pocket tables. Its anyones match at that level in the finals.

Chen's fargo exceed theirs by 10 and 20.

shocked she isn’t in World Pool Masters!

I think Kelly was invited as last year’s champion. I bet Siming is invited next year as this year’s champion.

Not sure what you mean by "last year's champion."

No women were in the World Pool Masters last year. Han Yu is the reigning women's World 9-Ball Champion, and on top in the WPA rankings, and she is playing in this year's World Pool Masters.

I don't know what the basis was for Kelly Fisher's invitation.

I take back my statement. I was operating from a fuzzy memory of an announcement that didn’t exist and a seemingly fabricated impression that KF did more in 2018 than she had. It’s probably just a throwback to 2012.

Her Fargo rating is considerably higher than Schmidt's. I'd rather see her against Corey, Earl or Johnny - any of which would have far more interest in the pool world!

That person was doing this unauthorized bootleg re-broadcast of this content.

This is hurts traffic to the WPBA website which is used to attract sponsors

The videos with full quality and with sound of the the whole event will be released soon from the WPBA.

Even after being told to stop she refused and kept doing it

But Schmidt was one that was barking at her on fb.
