Does anyone have the ability to capture WPC2004 matches in any form or way?

Bethe,

a guy from billiards and digest website forum give this
address for DC++ poolandbilliards.dyndns.org
It's all WPC 2004 stuff but unfortunately their is no connection
for everybody. i tried to connect to them and download somehow
but to no avail.
Maybe you can and if youd could download.
Would you care to share also?

I am not clear to what you are trying to say but I am assuming you are having problems with DC++. Kind of tricky to set it up, but it is way better than anything I have ever tried. Go into control panel and change setting to passive. This will free up file lists for you to download.

If you have a fixed IP-address, you can connect in active mode.
If you have a dynamic IP-address (changes often), you can only connect in passive mode.

How to find out your IP-address ? You need to put your IP-address to active mode field.

Start-Run -> type cmd and ms-dos -prompt appears. Then type ipconfig and pick your IP-address. If your IP-address changes every now and then, usually daily, it means your network provider is using dynamic connection and you can only use passive mode.

Hope this helps...

I have the entire match between Alex and Chang on tape, as well as Alex and Fong Pang Chao in the Quarters:)

Dc++

Hi Mikko,

this tool doesn't work for me (firewall) did you already grab the mentioned files and can you post them somewhere to download them??

Regards,
Markus

Speaking of WPC i could now have the capability to record
the event with the Following Days of Competition :
Day 6 - Last 16 Second session
Day 7 - Quarter Final Second Session
Day 8 - Semi Final Second session
Day 9 - Finals

I could record the Finals on Saturday here (which is Friday night on USA)
I could record Day 6 on Tuesday (Monday in USA)
I could record Day 7 on Wednesday (Tuesday in USA)
I could record Day 9 on Thursday (Wednesday in USA)

So if your interested just PM me. :cool:

Markus, I can't access dc++ regularly, only every now and then from my friend's computer. I don't have a computer at home and our school's computer administrators don't allow p2p-software such as dc++ or WinMX or similar to be run from the school computers...

So, right now I can't download any matches unless they are shared via ftp.

Oh, if you are using a Windows newer than 98, you should either start your ms-dos prompt (command prompt) from the start menu or from start-programs-accessories.

You can go to www.showmyip.com as well. Also if you have a firewall open it first then open DC++, and confirm access through the firewall.
If you try to open DC++ first you will get no connection notice.

I just finished downloading 2004WPC Pag vs chao part 2 video in my shared folder on DC++. So get it while its hot.

I dont know how its my end because all the other DCrs are downloading files from me. i will check out the settings. As far as the guy who has the finals.You should find a buddy that can mpeg it for us all to see. Even AZ housepro is on DC waiting for these matches. So hook a brother up!
