Bill Hagan used to use strips like these in his cues. He used them as deco=rings on the joint area and butt cap also. cut a shallow pocket around the cue and, some way, bent these around to fit in the groove. It made for a very intricate and complicated looking deco-ring but wasn't that difficult to achieve once you figured out how to bend the strips in that sharp of an arc without breaking the strip or having it come unglued.

I'm pretty sure at least one of the cues I was picturing in My head was made By him. Those strips are also the kind I was talking about, the same stuff they have used for eons in some furniture and trinket boxes.
Yeah That's the thing that puzzles me, how to get them to bend that much without separating them. still I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen more of them used in cues, inlaying straight pieces into them would be very easy, and some of those designs are really cool looking. I know some people make them Their selves, I've seen how some of them are made, but some of the strips You can buy are really nice looking, especially the ones that almost look 3D.
