Wrapless vs wrapped cue

If you like the pierce, I'd make sure you play some with a schon first. Going to hit and play very differently. The wrap is a secondary issue in my mind. I've played with both, and a bunch of other cues, and I like them both. Just not the same type of a hit, feel, whatever you want to say.

As far as wrap vs wrapless? I prefer wrapless, then linen, then wrapless, then smooth leather. Wrapped cues at least have a advantage of keeping you from gripping the back of the cue accidently. They don't really change much else.

If your thinking about trading that full splice jim pierce for a cue with a wrap you're crazy!

Wrapless cues ftw

You made the right decision in this case.
A Schon is a great cue, but won't play anything like that Pierce/Davis of yours; wrap, or not.

Not totally crazy if I'm not in love with it. It is a nice cue though.
