Looking for opinions on having a cue with a linen wrap disassembled and having a wrapless birdseye section installed. Will the cue play well still and how labor intensive/expensive would a repair like this be? Anyone with any experience in this type of repair. Thanks.

I like to see a picture of the cue before giving any opinion because it could be better and more cost efficient to build a new cue. :)

The best place to always start with a question like that, is with the original Cue maker, after that, the options and cost of it would depend on how much you like the cue.

Why not just get the cue you want and sell this cue? I bet you will come much better in the long run!!!!!!! Does the original maker have a trade in program by any chance?

Just to give you some reference, this could easily cost $250/300, depending on who does the work.
