Jay Helfert wrote one of the best pool books I have ever read, "Pool Wars" and I hear it is still for sale. If you haven't read it, you should get to it. Jay's tell it like it is style is unsurpassed as pool books go.
I was thinking about www.bing.com and checked out some of the news stories in SPORTS on the web site and ran across Andre Agassi and his tell-all autobiography where he confesses about his crystal meth use and his hatred for tennis.
What I really liked is the way Andre writes. I know Andre had some help with his book and had editors working with him. I have to assume that. It is what I would do if I were writing an autobiography for mass reading. I am writing one and have been doing so for several years now and keep adding to it so I don't know when I will finish it.
But back to Agassi.... While Andre confesses to his indiscretions, I realize that I like his writing and his story. He is very believeable, just like Jay. Andre's life's story is an incredible inside look at a very troubled athlete's life. Andre and the publishers are tempting the Internet "scanners" like myself with these short window openings of Andre's autobiography.
If you write as well as Andre, this is probably a good way to sell some books. If you want to know what it takes to be a champion ANYTHING, check out OPEN by Andre Agassi.
Now where is it that you can buy one of those Jay Helfert, POOL WARS?
