what would be a good butt to put a predator shaft on?? would it matter beyond a certain point? i like about 18.25 oz of cue.
 
I would suggest a older model joss, jacoby or should be able to find a good falcon cue pretty cheap.

What's your price range? I have an 8-point Kenny Murrell butt w/extended linen wrap that weighs around 14.25oz (I'll double check weight if interested). I can sell with the 1 shaft it came with for $725 or just the butt for $625. This cue was originally around $1600-$1800.

United joint is 5/16-14 pin size, I have predator shafts at home and they fit perfect on the mezz. His shaft will fit np.
 
Oh yeah, I have a wrapless OB butt, too - curly maple forearm/buttsleeve w/cocobolo handle - like new condition. 15 oz. $250 shipped butt only.
