I HAVE to beat Mr. Craig Smith (the man behind the Black Boar website) out of JUST ONE 6-point Black Boar cue........it's my new(est) mission in life!! :) :)

I spent the better part of a half hour on the phone with Craig today. REALLY nice guy, and very smart on the history, construction, and finer points of Black Boar cues. His love of them can't be matched.....and I won't try....but I GOTTA get my hands on one before he beats me to it!!

Craig gave me some pointers on how I might go about finding one...but I figured I'd hit up my buddies and contacts on the boards too, and beg for some assistance in finding one...just one...to add to my meager collection.

I'm not needing a super intricate cue here....a basic 6-pointer would be great. Inlays are wonderful, but not completely necessary.

If any of ya'll can steer me in the right direction, I will...forever...be in your debt!!

Seems to be that way. I said essentially the same thing to Craig this afternoon. All he could do was laugh. Kinda freaky that he knows where to find 'em all.

I wish nothing but the best for him and his ever-growing collection efforts.......but I hope his internet connection craps out, and he loses all cell phone reception for the better part of the next two months.
 
The search grows more difficult with each passing month. I searched for almost 18 months to find the first one and for the last 20 months I am searching for a second. Will I give up - not likely!
Good luck and hopefully your search will not be as long as mine.

I am on the trail of one that I first saw and shot with back in 1994 or 1995. After I buy it, I will fill everyone in on the story, which should be fairly entertaining.
 
Hi Rat! I think you should give up and focus on your Stealth collection, since you already have that beautiful pink one.

While I am quite fond of my pink ribbed Stealth....something tells me my collection won't be complete until I can nuzzle a 6-point BB cue in there, too.

Worry not....nothing will every replace my Stealth!! And no, you can't borrow it, you sick b@stard!!

Glad the plug for the site drew some attention to all the work you, Tony, and Craig are putting into it. It's very much deserved, and hope your visit numbers shoot through the roof.

Let's be honest, though........we BOTH know you like me much more than you like Craig...so it's okay to root for the underdog on this one!! ;)

i dont think so... i dont remember seeing any the last time i checked his site but you can always try asking him who does ... he is definitely well networked.

Yeah, I saw that, too. Lucky's got some incredibly nice examples...but WAY out of range for me to even consider.

I have a line on one or two...but not sure if it's gonna pan out. Have to go through a guy that knows a guy....
