Hi all,

Looking for a nice Dufferin blank for conversion.

Prefer exotic wood type with visible, beautiful swirls and grain colors.

Please post on this thread the:

  1. Clear pics (full butt, points, forearm and lower butt)
  2. Diams @ 29" and rear
  3. Whether points are even
  4. Price incl. shipping in CONUS

as my PMs fill up too fast.

Must have Dufferin Logo!

Thanks,
Marvin

why dont you contact bell forest or david schmelke. they offer the best sneaky blanks on the market. your gonna spend 100$ but it will be better then any duffern you will find... also whats on top isnt always whats underneath. i did a few that were not good at all huge gaps ect..

How much are you wanting to spend? Are you mating a shaft to it, or going to use the shaft from the dufferin?

Those are good too but nothing beats a pretty maple leaf in the back of your back hand. :)

I'm sure there are some good ones out there!

Thanks Dave

I know what you mean. A really good cuemaker can transform a seemingly ordinary Dufferin into something quite special. I've seen several Duffy conversions here over the last few months. From cuemakers such as Fuller, Mc Lennan, Lomax and Sugartree

In fact, I bought the Sugartree Dufferin and was shocked to see how pretty the grains were in real life. They're a little pinking white in tone and framed with streaks of dark brown. Such character. Jamie really surprised me there.

Had a ebony Dufferin conversion done by James White that was the best playing cue I ever owned.Wish I never sold it!:frown:

Here's an older and unusual Dufferin....

I've had this butt lying around the shop for awhile. I'm not sure what it is for sure -- looks like a nice piece of rosewood with some type (unsure) of dot and ring inlays.

The joint measures .872" the butt is 1.234 and is 28.25" in length

This is an older rare bird.....

I've got a couple purpleheart house cues in my poolroom downstairs that measure at 1.254" (not for sale).

I may have something at the Pub that are in the 1.25" range but 1.26 is even slightly bigger.....kinda like a baseball bat size :grin-square:
