Interested in purchasing an Abe Rich Cue. Not sure what is available but willing to look at anything and everything.

Please post any pictures and if you know the history even better.

Thanks
Dan

I have this one that might be of interest. It is an example of one of the cues that I've heard of that Abe and his buddy, Doc Fry, used to share materials on (green sparkle plastic on the butt). I believe the wood is goncalo alves (zebrawood). The wrap is a two colored linen.

The cue has a little rollout and when you screw it together, I think the pin is slightly bent. It screws on just a little funny, but when you get it screwed on, it seems to straighten everything out. The cue plays very solid.

If you're interested, I'll post weights and shaft diameter, etc. I'd take $175 shipped in the CONUS...

Thanks for looking!

Steve

There is one on ebay now. The seller is a relative of Abe's and is selling off the cues that were in the shop when he died. I bought 2 from him and am very happy with them. They are new and unused. Just do a search for "Rich cue".

Hi Dan,

I got the cue below from Abe's nephew Howard together with some documentary but it's a bit too old school for me.
The forearm is brazilian rosewood and for a NOS cue from the 70's it still looks great.
The cue is straight and sound but there's plenty of lacquer on the shaft that should be removed before playing.
Let me know in case you're interested.

Dirk

Estate Sale Find.....

I believe this to be an Abe Rich Cue.

Old School brass (painted) 5/16-14 joint with two tone wrap. Both pieces have a slight rollout but are very playable when put together.

The wrap has a piece missing at the buttend; and, the shaft has an aluminum screw on tip configuration that I don't believe is original.
