yeah, thats some beautiful wood. I dont want any points or rings though, just a plain merry widow. also, the cue ive been using for the last 15 years has a leather wrap so im interested in owning something wrapless.

Finding that "just right" piece of spalted maple could be a challenge......
It would need to be stabilized also imho.
Curious as to others thoughts on this...

just cored with purple heart would be sufficient. no need to stabilize it from my point of view. Finding someone that can / will build just a plain jane butt for a reasonable price might be hard in today's cue environment.

Is there that much of a demand for cue builders?
And by that I mean good reputable builders, not guys with a lathe, high hopes, and a pile of firewood... Although..... Brb, I know there's some spalted in my firewood...
