I have used one, Flat 5/16x18, diameter of joint collar is .835. Dead straight.
The ferrule is bakelite, with Samsara Break/Jump tip.

Asking $79 (shipped)

I have a 3/8-10 shaft that suits your needs. Bob from DZ cues made it. It has a fairly stiff taper. The taper plays well for both playing and breaking. It is in almost new condition. It has a black ferrule and a pressed triangle tip that will never mushroom. I have been playing with pressed triangles for some time and use my playing cue to break with a lot. I have never had one mushroom on me yet and I break hard. I'm asking a little more than what you requested but I can promise you will not be dissapointed. Shaft can be seen here.

And by the way, it is exactly .840 on the money ;)
