Anything not in pieces, cracked butts and shafts are ok, looking to learn to do wraps, finishing, ferrules, tips, etc. don't won't to use a good cue to practice on.
I have a very nice Helmstetter cue, 4 points and 5/16-18 ss joint.
One of the points has a crack. Not deep (checked by 2 cm).
The joint is moving and the butt plate should be properly fixed as it fell a few years ago and it was glued in by someone...
I'll take 150$ for it.
When I was first starting out, I put an add in the local paper asking for cues in any condition. You'd be surprised what people have laying around in basements and garages that they would be more than happy to get rid of for a few bucks. You'll find lots of stuff to practice on for cheap...and you won't have to pay shipping
Half of buttcap is broke off. Finish is gone. Needs new wrap. Had 2 shafts but only 1 now. Laminated shaft. Brass rings are now green. Yes it needs work but can be a nice cue if done good
Rosewood forearm. Bubinga butt. 3/8x10 pin. I wanna say 19oz. Havent shot with it in years!
Cue was stolen from league one night and turned up at another bar several months later!!
I have a cue, shaft needs new ferrule there's hot mess from where the guy tried to put on a new tip but it'd be a good one for you to practice on. Joint is good. Butt is broken but by the joint so in sure if you cut that part off you could use the rest to work on wraps
