Looking for a killer deal in the current market! Budget capped at $2500 shipped.

Looking for top/high tier makers like Prewitt, GINA, Mcworter, Bender, Tascarella, SW, TAD, Sugartree etc.

Would like overall weight to be about 19oz and at least 2 shafts
Shaft diameter to range between 12.65mm and above.
Has to be in mint condition

PM me if you have something great and that you'd like to be an angel :angel2:

I've a Mezz AP-1C that I'm willing to do a partial trade up for the right deal too.

Cheers,
Clarence

Danktrees (Cedric) had a killer James white forsale for just under your budget.

Best of Luck

I've wanted a Ed Prewitt cue for such a long time.......and a Tascaraella.....and a Tad Kohara, as well as a Franklin Southwest, Black Boar, as well as a Ernie Guitterez cue, and there are others too....Hercek being the one cue-maker I'd most love to have. As far as I'm concerned, you can keep original Balabushka and Szamboti cues (Gus & Barry) and just give me an ivory joint Hercek. I'd be in Nirvana........but it seems like the real gems all fall within the low $4k - low $5k price range.

I haven't even had a sniff at a cue from one of those cue-makers that was within my budget ($3k). Sure, there were some Plain Jane or Merry Widow versions I could have purchased but I want a cue that has some really attractive veneers. Unfortunately, those cues just haven't been around, or at least I haven't seen any, and I've been searching high and low for the past year.

So it will be interesting to observe whether the cue resale market has gotten so weak that even cues by the most heralded cue-makers can be acquired for under $3k. This would be absolutely wonderful for you or me, and of course any other potential cue buyers but really an absolutely horrible outlook for owners of those cues. Maybe that's why it seems that so many folks are hanging onto their higher-end, collectible cues rather than even attempt to sell them in what's otherwise become be a severely depressed cue market.

Best of luck with your fishing expedition.

they come around from time to time.. but the trick is to have the money available when they do.. seems alot of the time people are not ready to buy when the best of the best come up for sale at affordable prices...

I agree with Chris's take on this. Which is why I'm bumping in now

Have U Seen the jbbilliards1 Prewitt Cue

Forum member jbbilliards1 has a fancy, plain Ed Prewitt cue with an ivory joint (19 ozs)....Hubba....Hubba....Hubba....and the cue price ($2,000) seems to be within your overal budget range.

Martin @ Superior Cues (714-612-1025, PST) has a Gaboon Ebony 5 EP fancy ring cue from Ed Prewitt. It has a solid ivory joint, 3/8-10 pin. He's asking $2,650 but you probably can work a deal within your budget I would think........be sure to also check out the cues on his website from Paul Drexler (PFD Studios)......cue #1 is well within your budget but cue #3is a gem of a cue.....just within your budget.....the description is below:

"Fantastic 4 point 4 veneer (blk, lt blu, lt grn, yellow) ebony into amboyna burl cue with silver gunsights, barbells, and large dots. Veneer stitch deco rings at all positions. Ivory split razor blades in buttsleeve. Ivory joint, ivory buttcap. 13mm shafts 4.07 and 4.15 oz.) with ivory ferrules and Triangle tips. Select genuine elephant wrap. Weighs 19.07/ 19.15 oz. with a 19-3/8" balance point. Custom joint protector set as shown included. $2,750.00. Now $2,475.00. Another PFD gem!"

I've contemplated getting cue #3 but I'm pretty determined in my search efforts to locate a cue from one of the other cue-makers I have in mind.
By the way, have you gotten any nibbles yet with your original post?

I've a few great deals, just awaiting pictures.

Still looking for that GINA though. Unlikely, but hoping.
