WTB: Cheap 60" Cue

I'm thinking about having a cue made and I'm considering whether or not to order a 60" cue...but I would like to play a little with one before making the commitment. So I'm looking to buy one for short money...play with it for a month or so and then resell to get some of my money back.

Of course if I knew someone with a 60" cue locally I could avoid this step, but that isn't the case unfortunately.

Here are my basic needs:
-60" cue
-Used (just looking to use it for a month or two)
-Wrap

Thanks!

60 incher

I have a practically new cue that has been packed up a while. I will have to get the particulars on the cue tomorrow. Will be affordable though. Thanks. Mel.

Jossfan,

ebay item # 180510503493. is my sale. i set the reserve at 575.00 but what do you consider cheap? i got the feeling if you bought it you wouldnt need to order anything else for a long time . and cheap is relative. and you get what you pay for. dropping a few dollars on a 60" cue just for the length might not help if you end up with a shitty 60" cue. I think this is a prime example of how a 60 inch cue should play.
if i was closer to boston i'd meet up with ya. funny thing im selling the cue as i do need some cash but i actually also have a cue on order from dennis diekman thats gonna be under 58" and possibly down to 57" im leaving that part to him. the auction says no returns but id consider it only if you can honestly tell you trully hate the cue and how it plays. (just not because u decide 60 isnt for ya)

Cool, I look forward to seeing what you have to offer.

Thanks!

By "cheap", I mean $500 or less delivered and something I could resell in a few months and get most of my money back. I'm essentially trying to rent a 60" cue to make sure I like the balance and such before I have a custom cue made, most likely by LP custom cues. A leather wrap would be a nice bonus as well, but not needed. The 60" cue offered by tommie1351 right now looks great to me, it is just a little out of my price range.

I'd actually prefer used so I don't have to take the depreciation hit of buying a new cue.

Keep the offers coming.

Thanks!

how about $135

I would personally go with a Schmelke if it were a rental the link below is for the cheapest cue with a laminated shaft (+20), linen wrap (+17), and the extra length (+20). They also offer a 31" butt, but I didnt see a 31" butt and 29" shaft as an online option but I would think they could easily do that. I have heard a few people cursing 30" shafts, but I just got one for a standard cue and really like it. You can touch the price and the ability to tweak the spec's on the cue. I'm not trying to steal any business away from anyone, but $130-150 is an insanely good deal.

Their M series seem to be the most affordable yet still customizable.

Oh and Joss will make you a 60" cue for the retail price on their website. $300 is their entry level off their website. I only bring it up because I saw your moniker after posting the Schmelke link.

I want to thank everyone that offered me a stick or advice in this thread.

After exchanging a few emails with Lee from LP custom cues we were able to agree on reasonable price for a solid "60 cue with a leather wrap. I'll have to wait 2-3 months for it to arrive, but I think it will be worth the wait.

I didn't think I wanted a new cue, but his price was good enough to make me second guess that decision and go in a different direction.

Thanks Lee!
