Hey everyone....
I have a friend who used to shoot all the time and was quite good. He sustained injuries from a gunshot which has impaired his vision where he is past legally blind. He can still see the table good enough to shoot. He is still pretty good, but he doesn't have the stick or the money to buy a new one so that he can start playing more. I am looking to buy a cue to give to him. I'm hoping to find a pretty cheap custom cue so that he will really appreciate it when I hand it to him. If anyone can help me find one I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

There are no special preferences. As cheap as possible would help alot.

What's the price limit you're looking to stay under??? Any specs, in particular, that you know he likes/liked?

I have the Brent Hartman purpleheart Valley Supreme conversion cue that I picked up to try out. It is a really nice cue, and will only run $175 delivered in the US. No pics yet, but if interested, let me know and I will post some.

I really don't have much money to devote to this, but I really want to do something for him since he really deserves it. He doesn't know I'm trying to do this for him. As far as I can tell, he doesn't have that many preferences. He just needs a good cue.

I am interested in that valley conversion.

I have a Mcdermott cue in almost new shape i'd let go for $150. it's the Spectrum model which is no longer produced. New it was 399

I want to clarify again the details that I have said. The cue is going to be given to a friend that has had some bad things happen to him. He was shot and lost most of his vision. I'm doing this for a charity type thing. I don't have a lot of money to do this, so when I say cheap, this obviously doesn't mean DPK/SW. Adam decal cues....aren't custom. It has to be a custom cue. It doesn't have to be a well known maker, just something that couldn't be found just anywhere. The cue will probably be some sort of sneaky pete/hustler or just fairly plain. It does not have to be fancy.
 
It sounds like you're dong this for a good reason but yet again, you failed to answer a simple request ... what is your price range/budget???

I can't pay more than 200 at the most. Like I said, I didn't originally plan for this, but he really deserves this and I want to get pool back in his life since he lost it when he was injured. I wish I had more money to devote to this.

John, you have my offer on the Brent Hartman cue. If you want a different cue for your friend (or at least another option), you can have this new Petree Dufferin conversion for your $200 budget.
