WTB Custom Cue with a special design..

Here's the thing. There's a guy here in Iraq that has a tattoo on his arm, and he wants the same design on his cue. I would assume either airbrushed or inlaid.. Whatever. I don't think the manner of getting the design on the cue matters so much to him as the final result.

I told him even a plane jane custom is often in the $250-$300 range, and I would assume this special design would push the price to around $450-$500.

Did I give him a reasonable price? Anyone know of a custom cuemaker that does this kind of work and could get the cue downe with 2 or 3 months?

Thanks,

Russ

Would depend, I imagine, on how large/intricate the design would be. Are we talking something in the sleeve....or the whole cue.

There are a couple cuemakers that come to mind....but without knowing how much work you're thinking of...I'd be hesitant to say a few months would be enough lag time for it.

Is it tribal...or something to that effect?

it all depends on the design wanted and materials used. let us see the design and i'll let you know if it could be done in a josey custom inlayed fancy sneaky (around $550 w/one shaft).

Roger that, guys. I'll see if I can get a pic of his tattoo tonight at the military 9 ball tourney. I assumed it was a tribal of some sort, but we'll see.

I am trying to get him in at the lower range, around $450.00, because he has played for a while, but I think I am the first person who has tried to teach him any fundamentals. Therefore, he's not gonna have any idea what stiffness in the shaft he'll play best with, nor what taper.

Thanks,

Russ

McDermott cues will do any photo on a cue, try them.
