Hay Jay

You might try a ebony BBC pre 1923 cue also. They are pretteir with the maple veneer being almost yellow prettier wood too! Shouldn't be too much more! Nick

Bump to top

I'm thinking this isn't going to be as easy as I thought

Needles are out there but I can't even find the Haystack

I have a BEAUTIFUL Ebony Titlist.................. I meam it may be the nicest out there

Jay, I just got an ebony Titlist conversion after spending a very long time looking for one. I got lucky and found the one I have. They are so difficult to find that I would advise you to settle for a purpleheart, for now. They, too, are somewhat rare but not impossible to find. After getting a purpleheart you can always still be on the look out for an ebony.
yeah, finding them is half the fun :) .. enjoy the search !!

Your post says WTB? so far all you have offererd are trades? Do you want to buy, or trade? I've sent photos, taken measurements, sent weights, are you a buyer or a tire kicker?

My bad you add beside saying WTB says you want to trade for a conversion performded by a know builder.....

Panhandle My thread says Blank to buy to have converted or conversion for trade I think It's pretty clear. Secondly I have asked your price and you have only told me yours was not for sale and tempt you with an offer.
You are the one who appears to be just testing the water. not me.

The cue Jim Buss had was NOT Ebony, he thought it was Cocbolo or Braz Rosewood and he sent me a e-mail along those lines.

My bad as I misread the add saying TRADE for a conversion by a known maker. I just read the WTB = wanted to by part.........

Anyway I'd sell my conversion if somone wanted to pay for it, (I'd value it at $2,000 - $2,250) I think the Ivory joint, ferrules and Hoppe ring, two shafts, one with a Moori tip raise the price from it being a $1,750 cue, just my honest opinion.

Also pre 1923 Ebony Brunswick's seem to be going up $250 to $300 per year.

No offense to you as I already said I misread your add....... I want cash not another cue as I have eight now and can only figure out how to use one at a time ......... BTW I've seen some of your cues and they are in beautiful condition and beatuiful cues period

The only waters I need to test is the bath to make sure it is not too hot before I stick my pinkies in.......lol

It's hard enough to just find a Ebony Brunswick blank, then to have it pass your builders test to convert it is a another thing, it would be a sinking feeling to have $900 plus invested into a Ebony one peice and have your builder reject it, best to have him examine it before money changes hands, better to be safe than sorry.........BTW a certain AZ member from Pcola has a Ebony that rivals mine in terms of beauty and build quality...... I hate to admit that......
Oh one trade I would be interested in would be my cue and cash for a SW

Ouch this hurts

I am not goin to say who has my ebony titlist but I have seen alot of the cues mentioned and panhdlce has a ebony 1 piece titlist and a conversion ebony titlist I told him wow I got one like it! He looked at me like I was full of something when he saw it he was speachless saying Nice! With the ebony titlist or bbc entering the outer limits of cue priceing I will say I will keep my next one if I ever get the chance and whoever has mine if you would like to trade back let me know. :) in Pcola Nick

Gentlemen,
Thank you all for the very interesting journey
I've managed to trade for a conversion and also managed to take down
the original 26 1/2 in great shape decal and all.
I sincerely appreciate all your help
