Put in some scratches and scuffs.There is actually a subset of leather workers that specialize in making replicas of old leather gear like Civil War satchels and stuff like that and they discuss the best techniques for making an item look old and worn.

Yup, one of these is well aged. Made a less then favorable trade. And slightly over paid on the other, eBay. lol
Bottom one has a spot that looks as if it was placed against a heater. Been meaning to get better pix of these.
