I'm looking to purchase an inexpensive lathe. Basically it's just for my own home use for cleaning and replacing tips. I'm not looking to do repairs, wraps, etc. Just a basic lathe that allows me to recondition a shaft and replace my tips from time to time. Any suggestions? It would take me forever to justify the expense of a Hightower or similar lathe since I would only use it a few times a year.
