WTB an original Kersenbrock (not Omega/DPK). Having trouble locating one.

Any help would be appreciated.

you may also want to PM Poolchady. He has connections in Taiwan where i know there are a couple of Laurie authenticated DPKs.

Probably u would know this but i be naggy a bit and beseech u to buy only DPK with papers. There are many counterfeits or are actually franklins masquerading as DPKs in the market.

Outsource, try calling Scott Murphey (281-459-2705). Think he has 3-4 right DPKs now.

Well, Mr. Wu just got back to me. He said I could make an offer on one of his cues. I'm not particular about doing business like that. Typically, the seller will post a price and negotiations begin from there. I have no intention of insulting Mr. Wu, but the guy has like 35 cues to choose from!!

Where do I start? I've identified 5 cues that I like, the problem is he doesnt list specifics like weight or length.

I will email him back requesting thia info for those 5 cues and we'll go from there.

Has anyone delt with Mr. Wu? http://www.wuscues.com

Dr. Wu is fine to deal with....really nice guy and quite funny. Hopefully this advice will help. As for offers....I'm pretty certain that he really likes his DPKs. Anything short of $4-5k probably won't begin to interest him. From what I hear, now DPK's cues start about $10k and he no longer makes the simpler cues. Also, very, very few per year now.

Try 6k+ for fancy sneaky pete and 10k+ for all the others.
Mr. Wu is a nice person but he is quite busy recently.
I got two fancy DPKs too but they are keepers.

His stuff is only $10 K now?

Try $15,000, unless he's running a sale or something.:p  Confirmed by Ed Young himself too. Don't know about his sneaky petes, but I do know that his collector cues start at $15K.

DPKs

reason they are so hard to get is that everyone who owns them loves em and doesnt want to get rid of em... The make an offer thing is probably the way most people (myself included) is the only way they will get rid of em... only if they are over impressed with the price. DPKs are probably one of the top cues in the futures market right now... there are higher priced cues, but few that stand to go up in price as much...

Here is a pic of mine... make an offer if you think you can pry it away from me.

Authenticated by Laurie franklin and Refinished rewrapped by SW Cues.

Wow Mario for someone who is just getting back into pool, you sure are diving into the deep end of the pool right away :-)

Be very careful buying DPKs. They will always be upper tier priced cues and lots of counterfeits. Make sure you get good documentation and lots of it.
