WTB lower end schon, it's george cue, and/or predator/OB-1 shaft for 5/16-18

Would love to stay under $350 but I might be willing to go alittle higher for the right cue. Would rather have an it's george cue but wouldn't mind an older schon either. 2 shafts would be a huge plus but not a requirement. Also have to stay under 19.5oz, the lighter the better. As I'm sure you can tell I'm a bit picky reason being I'm looking to buy something to keep not turn around and sell in 6months.

As for the predator or OB-1 shaft looking for something that's still 12.75 or atleast 12.7ish and not beat to death. Needs to be 5/16-18 as at the moment all my cues are that same pin. Cheaper the better of course.

I got a good deal recently on ebay from Carls cues. I won a new Schon STL-3 for $390. Nice cue for the price. Maybe I just got lucky, because it retails for $600. If you are looking for a use Predator shaft, try bamacues.

hey Big C... was that 390 plus shipping? that carl guy charges alot for shipping...

You aren't kidding there, I normally won't even bother looking at his auctions as he always has reserves and those crazy shipping rates.

Seems like I seen that bamacues just had a bunch of predator shafts in 5/16-14? I need one in 5/16-18

Now that I think about it I'm suprized I haven't had anyone say they have a used predator shaft for sell yet. No one has one they hate and wanna get rid of?

Brandon, yes, I have some Predator shafts, but they are only 5/16x14.

Sorry I can't help with the 5/16x18.

The winning bid was $390.00 with no reserve. The total with shipping and insurance was $407. I'm happy with the deal.:)
 
Predator shafts for a Schon.

What condition are they in and do you have any pictures? Are they the 314 pre-cat? What kind of tips are they?

I can take some pics tomorrow. I have a couple of old ones (pre-cat) and a couple 314 cat era (not 314-2). For the cat era, I have one of each, the plain black collar and the black with silver collar. The one with the silver collar is in excellent lightly played condition with the original tip (I think Triangle). The one with the solid black collar is in excellent played condition (some shaft bluing) and has a Talisman Medium on it. I would sell either of them for $110 delivered, or $210 delivered for both.

The older era shafts have seen more play. One has a solid black collar and has been turned down quite a bit. The older one with the silver riing is in good condition with a very minor taper roll. Don't know for certain as to what tips are on them.

All are 5/16x14 joint. If you are interested in any or all, I will check them out closely tomorrow and take some pics and measurements.

BTW I wanna say thanks to everyone that has taken time to send me an email, PM, or replied here. Please keep in mind I'm looking for an older schon not a brand new one. My local pool room lets me have anything I want at cost so it would be almost impossible for anyone to give me a better deal on a new schon.

I'm gonna go ahead and open a big can of worms here and say if you have a nice low end custom with 2 shafts, low end meaning under $500, that weighs less then 19.5oz let me know. Also any it's george or older schon with 2 shafts under $1000 please let me know.

Thanks to Joe (bamacues) I now know the only schons I'm interested in are Runde era cues as I never have been able to stand rounded points.

Still prefer an it's george but I am open to just about any well known custom maker. But if it's a brand I've never shot with before I most likely will ask the shaft be mic'ed in a few places just so I can try to get an idea on the taper. Thought I'd warn everyone now. Keep in mind I'm not a collector so I do care about the hit/balance/weight way more then minor flaws.
