Good luck with your search. Love my Lambros; I prefer its hit to my Scruggs SP and Scruggs 4-pointer. My only regret is not getting one with a matching extension, and mine is older (2001) so it's not tapped for one. Still planning to send it back to Mike to have an extension fitted.

Unsolicited advice if you've never owned a Lambros: you'll probably want to stick with his Ultra Joint models for the "full" Lambros experience; some of his older cues had plain joints. However, the downside of the Ultra joint is that fitting an aftermarket LD shaft is just about impossible, locking you into either Mike's excellent LD shaft or trying to persuade him to put his joint in a Pred or OB blank (good luck with that).

BTW, his regular shafts are quite low deflection, with a shorter than usual LBM (I think) ferrule and a 12.75mm tip diameter. I use back-hand english on almost every english shot, and my cue's 12.5" pivot point matches my normal bridge length perfectly.

I have Lambros for sale. Hate to part with it but will for 1,000.

Less than a year old Plane Jane I bought directly from Mike. Cue is in great shape with 2 shafts. Paid 1,375. Lambros cues are collectible and also one of the best hitting cues.

I disagree with your statement...

the downside of the Ultra joint is that fitting an aftermarket LD shaft is just about impossible, locking you into either Mike's excellent LD shaft or trying to persuade him to put his joint in a Pred or OB blank (good luck with that).

I don't think there is a downside to owning
a Lambros cue with the Ultra Joint. I don't pretend
to know why people do some of the things they do,
but to me, I wouldn't even think of trying to fit an
aftermarket shaft onto a Lambros cue. Why not just
go ahead and get the shaft made by the man who
made the rest of the cue? I personally think Mike's
LD shafts are second to none anyway.

To the OP...good luck in your search. My unsolicited
advice would be to call Mike yourself and order the
cue directly from him. That way you get exactly the
cue you want. From the type of woods used, to the
weight, and right down to the color or type of wrap.
