wtb: need 4 house cues for home

The Lucasi cues are pretty sweet. Kind of up there for a house cue at like 25 bucks or something. The Hueblers were awesome if you can find some one that still has them.

thanks for the help

I had good luck with the 1 piece Action cues....
Not bad for a cheap house cue...

i am somewhat afraid of them living in vegas and 8% humidity and i wanted a little better quality for home, just so my kids friends leave the better q's alone.

i agree about the lucasi's for this climate since they are bonded 2-piecers, but being all identical makes it a little more difficult as 'which q is whose' when playing.

Are you wanting something nice for a house cue? or something cheap?

Kelly

what do you have in mind kelly?

I like the Schmelke one piece house cues. Got one with a nice bocote butt for about $32-34 at Billiard Warehouse. You can get one with a regular maple butt for $25 or so.

Good luck!

Duffrins seem to stay straight a lot longer than the other house cues. For the little extra money you will be much better off. Just retip when needed and you should be all set. What is your norma playing cue?

I recommend Dufferin or the Lucasis come with a pro taper.

Some of these might be a nice idea.

sorry, but they are not my idea of your best cues, even though they may be gret players.

I bought a set of three house cues from this guy last year- he's in Canada, but ships everywhere- the cues were fine for kids/ham-fisted guests.

Here's a link to a set of four for $80:

aska's are okay, but i was looking for better so the "kids" have more of a 'feel' of a cue, but yes, i agree for the money they are very good.

yes dave,

yes, maybe they are good, but i don't think they can do nearly as good as: dufferin, schmelke, lucasi. just mho. i made my deal, and i found a very worthy seller, so with thanks and appreciation this thread is finished.

thanks az'ers for all you're input. and i bought dufferins as my first choice. and also, a dufferin was my first 'real' cue, and lasted and served me well for many many years.

i feel good to give my kids and their friends dufferins for learning this wonderful game!!

thanks to all,

sorry i did not answer "your normal playing cue: i love my keith josey cue. first of all, there is imho no better q than a full slice.

and keith's q's for ME are the best i ever had. mine is is a coco with bem, and it is my 'magic stick' at 19.2, but now i want keith to make me another at obout 18.5 or 18.6 for more 'feel'. i most love love coco and ebony but for the most part they are too heavy for my weight now. but so be it, i love keiths style and his wood selection is 'not for making money' but for beauty and playability. you should try him. you will be "amazed". he makes his own blanks. no chatter, just perfect cues as they should be. the hit and sound; zero; only - ball action.

i never enjoyed a cue, as "pure" as keiths.

you asked, so i am sorry for such a long answer. try one and write me. i know you will be very happy too.

all the best,
smokey
