I'm not sure what I want, but I would like to try several cues before making my decision. Are there any sellers around the Austin & San Antonio area that would be willing to meet with me for a test run? I don't want anything fancy, just a players cue.

I would contact Ron Geyer in San Antonio. He has a massive variety of cues that would fit what you would be looking for. He also does cue repairs, sets up at tournaments, he does trades, and buys and sells cues. His business is called Custom Cue Connection.
