WTB: Older Schon with stitched rings

I’m not sure if my budget is big enough, but what would be a reasonable price to pay for an old stitched ring Schon, just a basic model in fair condition but straight?

I'd say you are going to start at $750 min and go up from there, depending upon condition. If you are willing to take on that isn't 100% straight you can probably stay under 1k. if you want straight and nice condition, either refinished or original you might pay up to 2k depending upon the model, # of shafts, etc.

Example, I got a real nice condition R1, straight, with one shaft, original cortland wrap, micarta, etc. and I paid $900 for it some months ago. For 2022 I thought it was a good deal on a cue that I intend to play with all the time.

added info: an R2 just sold on eBay for $850 or something, it was in rough shape but looked original. I think it was straight. I bailed on the bidding at $800. Then some months back there was an R8 on eBay that ended at over $1700, and it was original/used condition, not sure how straight it was...

I just ran into Kevin from Integrity Cues at SBE and he as five or six R series for sale, you'd have to check with him for $$

Thanks for the info Jason. Sounds like you found a sweet player!

Yes indeed. I also just picked up an R4 about a month ago, not 100% straight but plays perfectly fine and looks fantastic. Love that one too...now if only I could find an R10 with double veneers in green / natural, in original condition!

I have an R3 that I would part with. It is straight and to me looks like NOS.
