Howdy,

I just got great reviews on the break cue I built for demo in Raleigh. The only suggestion was to outfit it with a phenolic tip. I remember seeing somewhere a tip and ferrule one piece assembly, but can't remember where I saw them.

Does anyone have a few they'd be willing to sell? I'm guessing G10 would work? I could also use just a tip, I guess - assuming superglue will keep it from falling off???

I know I can get just phenolic tips on fleabay, but figured I'd spend my money here first.

Thanks,
Jason.

Easier to just make your own out of rod. That way you get what you want and don't have to wait for it.

It's always nice to get good reviews on a cue you've made. So why change it immediately?

You probably know that phenolic tips are not BCA legal - while it is the player's responsibility to abide by the rules, I thought I'd bring it up.

Again, congratulations.

I have a j/b that came from a well know cuemaker with a phenolic one piece ferrule/tip combo, about 1 1/8" long,,,,I like the stick, though I never shoot jumpshots,,,,,but the break seemed to lack a bit as far as hit I thought, so I shortened the ferrule, just faced it down flat at 3/4" long and installed a Samsara break tip. This made all the difference,,,,,,hits alot harder, with excellent cue ball action,,,,,,you can definitely tell where you hit the cueball on every break. Great setup IMO.

Thanks guys for the comments.

Larry - I'm sure I will if this becomes a regular thing.

Gary - My potential customers want to see how it hits with the phenolic so that's the reason for the change - not to mention, though skeptical, I'm curious too. Good to know about the BCA rules, too.

Renegade - I think I can hit your house with a good golf shot...just west of you a bit! I'm in your camp in believing that a good ferrule and tip are the best.

As a side note, I've come to find out the guys wants phenolic and "definitely NOT G-10!"...his words, not mine.

Thanks for the PM's everybody - I've bought three and that should be all I need for now.

Thanks again,
Jason.
