First let me apologize because im sure i spelled phillipino wrong lol. But i am looking for a relatively inexpensive phillipino cue. Must have points and prefer leather wrap. Let me know whats out there. Thanks.

Would also look for one that has been in the country for awhile and stayed straight. I have one from a maker I only know as Shakira Cues on ebay which is orangewood and snakewood and stayed straight for almost 2 years now. I have a beautiful amboyna burl from a well known maker over there that turns 5+ degrees at the handle section now that it has adjusted to the US for a year.

had some great offers, lets hear some more! Would like to find one of the JD cues I see going new on ebay for around 200-250

If you're looking for an inexpensive yet quality cue from the Philippines, and wish to purchase through E-bay, look up RONEJ CUES. He has made quality cues for several years. I have two of his cues, which I purchased several years ago, and would not part with them. The ringwork and inlays are excellent, and they have remained perfectly straight since I've had them. I believe his cues are selling between $150 and $300. My avatar photo is one of them, beautiful Amboyna burl and "NON-IVORY" product, as he does not believe in using IVORY.

Take a look before you buy!

Hmmmm. Well, I THINK we're talking about those cuemakers from the Philippines?? Uh...I've seen it spelled with an "F", but never seen it on a map like that.

As for RONEJ cues, I just checked E-BAY, and there's nothing listed for him at this time. Keep looking! The name RONEJ comes from his first name "JENOR" (Urate-last name), spelled backwards. Regardless of how HE spells his name, his quality is excellent.

I also have a wrapless 16 point Ebony, Amboyna and Ivory cue made by his nephew Steve Urate (VHANTE CUES) that was appraised at $3400 here in the states, that I had shipped to my front door for $400. The detail, magnificent woods, and gorgeous ivory make it an item with which I will never part with. I am not sure if Steve Urate is still making cues, however, if you should see any of his cues for sale, grab them, by all means.:clapping:

Jd

I have a monster JD cue that has been with me all over the country in different climates and is straight as an arrow.

Joel Dadivas is a good guy and makes a great cue. One was just sold on eBay that was in the us already for 70 bucks. Realistically look between 210 and 300 shipped.

Ive seen some really nice Ronej and Vhante cues as well.

Check out Al Bautista and Bebot Bautista here on AZ for some nice work too. I missed out on a few raffles for their cues. I'll keep trying.

Try Al Bautista Cues. He us one of the better cuemakers in the Philippines. Email him at albautistacues@yahoo.com. Tell him that Bayawak referred his cues to you. You might be able to negotiate the price with him.

Good luck!!
