I am looking for any kinda really, just something to see how they hit.

ALOT HAS CHANGED SINCE 94. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT. HIS CUES SURFACE BUT NOT VERY OFTEN. I JUST GOT MY NEW ONE FROM DENNIS AT THE EXPO, AND I CAN TELL YOU IT WON'T BE FOR SALE ANY TIME SOON. THIS HALF JOINTED CUE I JUST GOT, WILL BE MY PLAYING CUE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. THE PLAYING CHARACHTERISTICS ARE WHY IN MY OPINION THE CUES DON'T BECOME AVAILABLE OFTEN.

IT'S IN THE POST ABOUT NEW VALLEY FORGE ADDITIONS. IT'S PICTURED WITH THE TASCARELLA AND THE BENSON THAT I ALSO PICKED UP. IT'S A VERY NICE BIRDSEYE HUSTLER, WITH AMAZING DETAILED RINGWORK.

Yeah I dont expect to get one for $250.00, I was just commenting. I plan on trying it out and then selling it a month later, so any model will do. AS long as its not a sneaky and its built by searing.

Very nice. Classic look is always good. What is the half joint ? Excuse the ignorance, I have been away from pool for a few years.

I'M NOT SURE HOW TO EXPLAIN IT. IT'S A SHORT STEEL JOINT THAT DENNIS DEVELOPED TO ALLOW MORE FEEL TO THE BACK HAND. I SENT YOU A PM WITH A LITTLE MORE DETAIL.

Searing hit

I've been playing with a Searing since September, 1997. His cues typically have a stiffer hit ...... but lively. Searing shafts have what I would call a conical taper which promotes a stiffer hit very similiar to South West. I have several of his joint types: flat faced with radial pin and wood collars, flat faced with linen collars, half joint with wood collars and linen collars, nickel silver joint, unilock joint. I typically prefer a flat faced radial pin with wood collars, but the half joint hit is amazing, I go back and forth between the two. Everyone has a different feel and what one player likes another may not, it's all personal. If you have the opportunity to try and or buy a Searing you probably won't be disappointed. A Searing is worth every dollar you pay for it and then some.

Yeah I loved them back in 95 ! I am sure they only hit better now. I almost willing to pay someone in central Florida to let me play a rack or two with theirs.

NO GREG, I THINK YOU HAVE ME CONFUSED WITH EVERYBODY ELSE. I TEND TO KEEP THE ONES I LIKE.

Halve joint-here goes

I will tell you straight off when you get done reading this you will still not know what a halve joint is. Dennis wanted the steel joint collar to attach directly to the forearm of the cue with out the rings interfearing with the feel of the hit so the cue would flex and feel more like a one piece cue . So what he dose is simple if you are a genius and think at his level. He machines the joint to accept the rings then builds the rings on the joint so when he is finished and believe me this has to be more work than makeing a cue, the joint and ring combination is threadded onto the forearm of the cue and this insures the joint's collar and not the rings are screwed directly onto the wood of the forearm. For 99% of you this is like astrophysics but to some it is clear if you understand a typical cues construction. If I rember right! I could go into the particulars of the machine work but this is really more than enough for most. Thank you Nick
