One of the many or so cues Bob made for his Pro rep players or Pro friends at the time...very cool pics of this "Louie Louie" Meucci cue. Bob was certainly ahead of his time back then.
I was at the Cue & Cushion last year after the ICCS show and started a conversation with an older gentleman who has lived in St Louis all his life and has frequented the C & C for many, many years. He gave me the lowdown on many of the folks whose pics hung from the wall (and there are a lot).
One of them was Louie Roberts aka "St Louie Louie". There was actually a printed article on the wall on this guy and when I asked about him...I got quite the story(s). Bottom line in his prime in the St Louis area, no one and I mean no one could beat this guy. As a money player, even the pros and out of town road players that would come through the area found it tough against this guy. In the end it seems fast living and hard luck seem to follow him to the end. Not my story just what was relayed to me...
