I am looking for a Titlist blank, preferably with dark wood and preferably 20 oz (thicker) or more for conversion. The blank should be in good shape.

I would be looking for a minimum of .860 at the joint area (29 inches up from the butt) and minimum of 1.320 at the butt.

Please let me know what you have for sale. Thank you.

I have a light colored wood Titlist that is 57 1/4 long with a short black ferrule. The shaft is split at the ferrule. The cue is in good condition for a conversion with the butt being 1.400 but at 29 inches from the butt, its .770. I think that is why most conversions have a handle section added so it can be cut at a point that allows for the joint to be somehwere around .850, and the remaining wood is used for the butt piece, approx. 4 inches. This way the end of the points are not 5 inche away from the bottom of the joint which makes them look unconventional.

I have asked Mr. Hoppe to identify the wood, but have not gotten a response as yet. There are three photos in the PHOTOS, CUE COLLECTIONS, PAGE 1, IMAGE 1,2,3. I have seen Titlists made of Rose, Ebony, Oak, Purpleheart, but none like this. It is not oak.

Let me know what you think.

Regards,
John
