I own the 2nd Vollmer cue (the Cocobolo 6-Pointer) you've taken the link from. My friend Frank bought this cue here in Germany directly from my Friend Michael Vollmer, when he stayed here for a while! Cause my Vollmer got stolen I bought it from him and got it back to god old Germany
When I got the cue back I showed it to Michael an he told me, that I could sell it in seconds for more than 1600.- Euros without changing anything! But I like it very much, he installed an ivory hoppe ring and a butt from the original cocobolo plus a new wrap. Now it looks even better...
In the meantime I bought also an 8-point recut bocote cue and an 8-point jet black ebony cue from him. I will take some pictures soon and post them in the cue & case gallery (vollmer). Michaels cues look great and play even better – it's like religion here in Germany to own one.
I don't think you will get one for the expected price, unless it's an very old one. Good luck, Chris
