A transaction I was closing didn't go through due to the other party, so....
I'm looking to buy a WRAPLESS plain jane cue. I'm looking to spend no more than $600, unless you have a really nice specimen, in which case I may consider a higher price.
The cuemakers I am interested in are:
BCM, Bryan Mordt
Steve Klein
Rick Howard
Ariel Carmeli (already looking into one)
Jack Madden
Blackcreek
JW Petree
Tom Coker
I like my cues to be 19.0 to 19.25 oz, balanced at 19" from butt end, with a flat-faced wood-to-wood joint. No sneaky petes please. I love ringwork, so any fancy ringwork may help sway me. Also, I like the following woods:
Amboyna Burl (probably out of my budget, but you never know...)
Bubinga
Cocobolo
Gaboon Ebony
African Blackwood
Tulipwood
Bloodwood
Pau Ferro
The above are just what I prefer right now. If you have a wrapless that does not fall into the above categories, please feel free to tell me about it anyway. You may very well convince me.
Thanks for any responses. I am hoping to see some nice specimens.
