I'm Glad to hear you finally got your money back Chris.I guess the moral of the story is never under any circumstances let someone use your accounts.

Why did i did something so dumb?

Well if u are very very ill and looks like u are dying, and ur family knows nuts about cues.. wouldnt u try entrust someone u know well to sell the cues first.. rather than let it end up in the garage after i'm gone... (i'll turn in my grave!!)

  • lover,

If you have Buy It Now price for AZ members, post it here. If I end up buying it, I'll give you a great review on the board.

  • If i posted the price and asked for one k, wouldnt i get grilled for expecting so much over a lacquered pc of wood (like that Searing thread??) Nay..

If I was dying the last thing I would worry about unless I was TATE with 500plus palmers would be pool cues! I would hope to get better and then sell the cues to say pay medical bills, but thats just me. But anyway, lets just hope for the best and you get a good price for your cues. The only concern as far as your past should be with your buyer and our opion's here on az are just that. Take Jazz up on that offer,he's good!

You might've had a honest, prompt paying dependable buyer ;)

And yet another "0" bidder jumps in. Hmmmm

4 different "0" bidders in one auction.

And we have another 0 bidder "richert7057pool (0)"...... joined e-bay today..... has pushed the price over a grand.

Hi Jeff,

Just if u didnt notice, the 0 feedbackers bidding in the auction are Americans!
if i need to shill bid, either i have to have a load of americans working me, or i have to have a american credit card to generate a ebay account which is pretty impossible as i am Singaporean!!
As said, if i need to drive the cue price up, i would do a private auction and spare myself all such scrutiny.

I hate to overreact, but all these posts pretty much imply that i am dishonest which simply isnt fair.
If i was any of the shill bidders, may i burn in hell.

I gotta tell you, I have never seen 5 different "0" bidders in one auction before.

If what you say is true and you know nothing about these bidders, than I would a little concerned if I were you. Don't you think it is just a little odd for someone to join today and precede to bid over a thousand dollars on a cue?

And if these are not real bidders, thay may have just ran out the real bidders.

I asked you for Buy It Now price on the cue few days ago. You provided the BIN number but stated that someone else beat me to it and you were waiting payment via PayPal.

Thus I expected the auction to be over .. yet it continues

Also your auction description said "Please don't bid if you have 0 feedback" yet another suspicious 0 feedbacker is in the mix.

You dont have to have a credit card to register on ebay, you only need one if you are a seller!

My Opinion

Hi all,

I just wanted to chime in with a different perspective on this 5 "0" bidders thing without making a judgement either way (because I don't care):

I am a very good friend of Pat & Bert Schrager and it's true, he has been very ill, but getting better every day. It is likely that he will never make another cue (I have an email into Pat to confirm whether or not he sold his equipment-I will update you as soon as I hear back). Those that know him, love him, or just want to own a cue that he made, and there are many, may have heard of this auction and are bidding on eBay for the first time just because they believe it may be one of their last opportunities to own a Schrager.

I have never dealt w/titlistsucker so I am not defending him, is actions, or his auction in anyway, I'm only offerring additional information for everyone to reach their own conclusions.

However, I will comment on one thing (of course without knowing the details): I can't believe a 'buy it now' price was discussed with Jazz, said to have been accepted by another, and yet the auction continues. This is curious to me - you would think that having a commitment by one and a backup would be enough to end the auction. Oh well.

Jazz - I PMed you.

incidentally, there are NO PMs or agreements watever with Jazz or whoever. i asked for a 1000 Buy it now price... and there were no takers.. so i dunno where u heard that from..

One other thing I find odd is that you state in your description, "Please don't bid if u have 0 feedback".

First, why would these people bid when you say no zero bidders. You would think they either "wouldn't" bid, or they would contact you to ask about bidding on it.

And second, why would you put that in there if you weren't going to uphold that rule? You can set your preferences to disallow zero bidders to stop them from bidding, or if you don't do that, you can delete them after they bid. You did neither of these...... nor did you contact these bidders to ask them any questions, as far as I know.

i did not ask the americans any question when they bidded, cos they didnt end up the top bidder. i did asked the 2 singaporean bidders though, and they reiterated that they were serious and like to see the cue in person.

i cant stop them from bidding, i stated no o feedbackers but they still did. I never bother to remove them because i decided to end this auction early. But seems like while i try to keep my word.. there are many deadbeats ebayers who say they are interested, then conjure all kinda lame excuses saying i sell too ex and so on..
U may say whatever u want now, and there is always something to say i guess..
Frankly i am incredulous...perhaps its a freshie thing... i been called a cheat, a shill bidder etc etc , and had my character slandered by people who never was interested in the cue or couldnt care less.
the most incredible thing is my first and only motive here was to find the ppl who got conned by my ebay namesake account and to refund them their money..
i pretty tired defending myself and i think its pretty needless and u guys are entitled to ur comments. As said i walk tall and stand tall. So call me a thief or liar or anything its fine.
Anyway all ends here u have a nice day. i am ending this cue auction cos i have a deal with a (hopefully not the only) respectable AZer there is here. i gave him a good deal IMHO and hopefully when he got the cue he can put in a good word for me.

0 Bidder :-)

Hi guys,

I just saw my new name in this thread. Yup, thats me, 0 bidder, richert7057 pool. I guess what you mean by 0 bidder is that I've never bid on anything on e-bay before. I never really had the money availiable to do so, but now I do. Gary Nolan knows me ( Tom from Michigan), so I'm not a person that is working for this person selling this cue. I really like the Titlist, hope to get it.

Anyhow............peace......love and good bidding!

Tommyd :-)

The titlist was made copying this Herman Rambow i had. i read ur old post indeed it does sound like ur cue u lost. Tommy does ur cue looks like this?

P8140044.jpg

Anyway its 1:27am and i am still waiting for a reply for the buyer who wants the cue incidentally.. i might have to end the auction early sorry pal.

My old cue

Actually, my old cue looked exactly like the Shrager Titlist, except it had a brass joint. My old cue made about 1964 even had the ivory inlays in the butt. Also the exact inlays in the forarm and same wrap.

I used to own two Rambow cues, but I really liked my first cue ( Titlist conversion ) the best.

Does the Shrager come with two shafts?

Thanks for the prompt response.

One lie after another. What next? A disturbance in the Force gave him bad feedback? One minute he says the person cheat him is a guy but feedback name looks like female name. Suspicous. He doesn't even let people know of problematic cues he sold yrs ago behind ebay back. He likes to list cues on ebay but try to work backroom deal and "close early" so people won't put negative feedback. Even on cuemaker say he didn't pay if look at feedback closely. He has many tricks. Don't be fooled...buyer beware!
