I have four cases and I only need two – so I thought I would offer two of them in trade for a nice cue. I would like to keep one of the 2X4 cases and one of the 1X2 – and am not particular as to which ones. I might be able to add a little cash if a cue offered really moves me.
Up for your consideration:
• 2X4 J.W. Hager in a tan Ostrich print and brown cordura with all the goodies. It comes with a cue extension, a bridge, a shaft hanger, and two tops. It has only been to the pool hall twice and is in perfect condition. Off the market -
• 2X4 It’s George (I assume) with the small pocket in a black lizard print. This is an older case and does not have the George name anywhere. Side by side – it looks exactly like a George so I assume someone wiped the name off – although it’s hard to tell where. It’s in great condition with only a few slight scuff marks. Traded -
• 1X2 Ron Thomas in Black Ostrich print. This case is older and the name inside the lid simply says “Thomas Cue Cases” It has a few scuffs however they are a bit hard to see unless you really look for them. I have owned this case since 95 or so. Traded -
• 1X2 McDermott aluminum tube case. This case has some dents and finish lifting in the wood top and bottom, and the covering is showing some wear. I believe the wood top might have a crack on the very edge but it could just be in the finish and looks like it will sand out OK either way. Structurally this case is quite sound. The covering is tight and has not come unglued anywhere. A little refinish work on the ends and some black shoe polish would make this case look almost new. It’s as strong as a case can be. Sold
The CUE – Requirements:
• Full 13mm (or greater) shaft(s) – the heavier the better. Honey color is fine!
• Heavier cues (19.5 to 21 oz) – although this is not a deal breaker if the weight can be changed.
• Straight, butt and shaft(s)
Preferences
• Ebony and/or BEM (the more Birdseye – the better)
• Ivory ferrules
• Vintage or unique styling
• Green and Orange veneers
• 5/16 X 14 stainless joints – or Ivory of course.
Sorry not interested
• New production cues (Schon does not count as a production cue to me)!
• Imports prone to warp
• Fiberglass, Aluminum, Players….etc.
If you have a really killer cue and want all the cases – please let me know. I can probably do with some inexpensive ones for the right cue. I can also send more detailed pictures upon request. I am looking forward to reading the responses and all PM’s will be answered. Thanks for reading my post! P.S. If you want to e-mail just use my screen name and add an aol.com. Thanks - Dan
