I am looking to get an IPhone(s). Either from a fellow AZ'er or an ATT store. Does anybody wants to trade an IPhone (like new condition) for a custom cue?
I have several custom cues that we can possibly make a deal on. Actually if I can get 2 IPhones even better. It would be my wife's birthday gift :D .
Just looking.
I do not think this thread is out of context since I am including cues, correct?
 
You might want to hold out just a bit.. the new iPhones due in the next month or so will have faster web browsing and double the capacity of the current phone.. might be worth the wait.
 
Have to disagree there.. I've had every new gadget when they came out for most of my life.. I love my techy toys.. the iPhone has FAR surpassed everything in terms of style and content, specifically it has the most impressive user interface I've ever used and I build them for a living.

Blah blah.. DRM, open source.. blah blah.. companies are supposed to deliver the best product and make it completely non-competitive with anyone else? Whatever.. that's just bad business.
 
The only issue with IPhones is that they have to be activated with your ITunes account. I have software that I can transfer files and such without using ITunes. Thanks for the good info.

i do not like the iphone. i have one and hate it, the only good thing about it is that it runs gameboy advance and snes games...oh and it has better graphics than a wii.

Thanks Cedric. I am not looking to know how people like IPhones or not. I was just trying to make a trade. I have messed with IPhones already and I know if they are good or not. I work in the hi-tech industry for the last 14 years. Thanks for the post anyway.
 
Lol, I had never considered the gaming compatibilities of my phone.. guess we're all looking for something different!

Sorry to hear you're so quick to sell out your freedoms for a pretty interface. There are some of us though who actually care about the social impact of technology and the effects of vendor lockin. Don't worry though, we will continue to fight for and protect your freedoms even though you clearly do not appreciate it.

It's clear that you really *don't* know about the iphone. Otherwise, you wouldn't be trying to get one. If you were so aware of things from a technical perspective, you'd know that OpenMoko is the future and wouldn't mind waiting a few months.
 
OpenMoko is the future? Bleh.. techno-hippies drive me insane. Fight for and protect my freedoms? Dude, what planet do you live on? Unless you're in the US Military risking your LIFE for my freedoms, I have nothing to thank you for.

Fight the power! Open source dude! Yeah.. and we're all going to be saved from MS by Linux too huh? Still waiting for that one to happen..

Aww, don't get another one.. you're just supporting THE MAN lolol! If you really knew something about technology you would instead buy yourself two tin cans and some string! Send me one of the cans and between us we will really buck the system!

Let me know what you got I have a 8MB thats I use thats jail broke has several games and applications. Just about to upgrade to new model if interested PM me your trades.

As far a perople working for ATT it does not do much good to see if they can get a good deal they CANT my wife works for ATT she gets a whole 10% off that better than none but suck compared to the 30% off all the other phones. Something to do with the Apple ATT contract to prevent employees for reselling them.
 
Hey windowsrefund.. in all honesty I'm sure your intentions are noble. While it's been my experience that a lot of folks who share your opinion are the same type who criminally hack DRM for fun, I realize this may not be the case with you. DRM allows those who wish, to protect their intellectual property. We can disagree all day long on whether or not Apple and other big businesses exploit intellectual property for their own gain, but at the core of this is the reality that not all are as 'noble' as you. If I want to protect my intellectual property, then I get to.. simple as that. If you want to spend your time coding all day and then give your work away, more power to you.. that is equally your right.

Yours is the noble cause, and deserves respect for that. The iPhone, good or bad, is a product we get to decide whether we want to spend money on or not, and the guy who started this thread has made his decision. At that point, without invitation for comment, no responsible member of the AZB community has place to hijack the thread. In that vein, I'm going to shut up now and let this post serve as a bump for bestkites to find himself a good deal!

And that's the problem. You continue to wait around for it to "happen" instead of educating yourself and doing what you can to *make* it happen. In a nutshell, if you don't respect and defend your freedom, you will lose it.
