Wahnetah TOTEM

Kin are -still!- hunting for a(any!) craft item, likely sold in a tourist shop on the Cherokee NC Indian Reservation, made by our distant relative JOHN WAHNETAH (d. 12/17/1982). Am so hoping you'll consider selling to us your souvenir Totem from that area because we've got nothing of his; blood descendants would give it the best possible home...pLeAsE!? "Wa-do" for your consideration,

Q re Wahnetah

An ALLEN KENYON/<giddywithglee@comcast.net> emailed me that he read my previous post [to you] inquiring about your Totem. He wrote that he, too, had a Totem (similarly signed, altho un-painted), and asked me for some of this carver's "info, to prove kinship" before selling to purported 'family.' However, after I immediately FWD'd doc's to him, he -then- neVer got back to me nor will respond to aNy of my subsequent contacts!! [Am sO disappointed, to think perhaps he just wanted some background info to enhance lineage of the piece he never intended to resell? But aren't we just talking about tourist souvenier Crafts -vs- Fine Art?]. So I'm back to square-1, and hopeful that you'll please let me know if, in future, you reconsider selling us yours. Thank You Very Much, <JoanTomSmith A T h o t m a i l DOT c o m>
